<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymerized toner in which no scale-like deposits are formed on the surfaces of parts protruding in the vapor phase parts of polymerization and distillation vessels among the constituent members of polymerization and distillation apparatus in polymerization and distillation processes. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a polymerized toner by polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition containing at least a polymerizable monomer and a colorant in an aqueous dispersion medium, water or warm water is sprayed in the polymerization operation on the vapor phase part of the inner wall of a polymerization vessel 1 and on a part exposed to the vapor phase part in the polymerization vessel among the constituent members of the polymerization apparatus, using separate spray nozzles 7, 8 in such a way as to give 2.0-1.1×10<3> Pa spray impact strength per unit area to the objective surfaces.</p> |
