PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot air device which dispenses with an additional sensor, such as a thermocouple, or with a thermal resistant heater. SOLUTION: The hot air device is connected to a heating element positioned in an airflow, a carrier consisting of a thermal resistant member and a heating wire and positioned in the airflow, and a device which is in electrical contact with at least one metal support for the carrier and shuts out a heating circuit. When the threshold value is reached, the heating circuit is shut out. Thus protection of the heating element is simple and no expense is required, and accordingly, control and regulation are enabled without the necessity of adding the additional sensor.
