PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the number of components of a double-acting supercharger provided with an accumulator. SOLUTION: In this double-acting piston supercharger, a pair of pistons 62U, 62L integrally operated by a crank shaft 52 are slidably supported on a common cylinder 54a formed on a cylinder block 54, and a pair of compression chambers 69U, 69L formed on both ends of the cylinder 54a are connected to a combustion chamber of an engine through the accumulator 73. As the accumulator 73 is integrally formed inside of the cylinder block 54, the number of components can be reduced, and the supercharger can be miniaturized in comparison with a case when the accumulator 73 is independently mounted. Further the communication of compression chambers 69U, 69L and the accumulator 73 with a pipe mounted outside of the cylinder block 54 becomes unnecessary, which dispenses with a pipe and a seal member for the pipe, and reduces the number of components and the assembling man-hours.
