PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To distribute display data of a document suitable for communication ability between this document filing device and a client terminal used by a user. SOLUTION: High density image data suitable for printing which serve as original data and plural low density display data having different sizes which are produced based on the original data are stored for one document in a document database 1. A connecting speed to connect a network between a client terminal used by each user and the document filing device is registered in a communication ability information database 4 in advance. If a request receiving part 8 receives a display data transmission request dispatched by the user, a communication ability determining part 5 determines the connecting speed of the client terminal based on contents set in the communication ability information database 4. A document data taking-out part 6 selects display data having a size suitable for the client terminal from the document database 1 based on the determined result of the communication ability determining part 5 and transmits them back to the client terminal through a document transmitting part 9.
