PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system that quickly remotely controls devices via a telephone line. SOLUTION: The remote control system remotely controls a device (vehicle) A with a phone 4 and a device B (information center) with phones 11-14 through a telephone line. The device A is provided with a storage means 1 that stores operation contents to a telephone number (b) of phones 11-13 in addition to the phone 4, a collation means 1 that enters a caller number received by the phone 4 to collate the caller number with the phone number stored in the storage means 1, and operation performance means 1-3 that perform operation contents corresponding to the telephone number (b) stored in the storage means 1 when the collation means 1 obtains the result of collation denoting coincident numbers, and the device B is provided with a call control means 15 that uses the phones 11-13 to call the phone 4 so as to perform operation contents corresponding to the telephone number (b) in addition to the phones 11-14.
