PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a developer smoothly flow in a developer flow passage and to overcome malfunction such as degradation in performance or the like of the developer. SOLUTION: A developer carrier 4 which carries the developer and conveys it to a photoreceptor 1 and a layer thickness control member 8 which controls the layer thickness of the developer on the developer carrier 4 are provided in a developing casing 2 provided so as to face the photoreceptor 1, and the photoreceptor 1 and the developer carrier 4 are rotationally driven in the same direction, and a developer flow passage 6 through which the developer going toward the photoreceptor 1 passes while having the layer thickness controlled is formed between the developing casing 2 and the developer carrier 4, and a straightening body 9 which fixes the conveying direction of the developer is provided upstream from the layer thickness control member 8 in the developer flow passage. |
