PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-performance electric signal/optical signal translator by eliminating the coupling of an output optical fiber to a transmitter module. SOLUTION: With the purpose of operating as an interface between an electric signal and an optical signal, an optical fiber is attached to the component part of the translator. The method a provides a V-groove on the substrate and fixes the optical fiber therein.
