The porthole frame comprises a peripheral section (3) delimiting an opening (4) formed by a wall with one extended by a flange (6) able to cover the edge of a panel to which the frame is connected. The frame (1) comprises a plane of symmetry (8) perpendicular to the plane of the panel. The second end of the wall has different shapes on either side the plane of symmetry which fit two frames placed head to toe.
