PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a feed device capable of surely guiding a printed product in a region of an intermediate feed mechanism, and permitting the connection of two feed chains to provide different feed directions. SOLUTION: In this feed device for gathering and conveying the printed sheet 1 placed over the first feed chains 2, 3 to be gripped at the first feed chains 2, 3, conveyed, and transferred to a second feed chain 8 continued from the first feed chains 2, 3 or the feed device at the same timing by an intermediate feed mechanism 10 at the termination of a gathering process, the intermediate feed mechanism 10 for gripping a partial product 99 formed on the first feed chains 2, 3 at the termination of the gathering process, is provided with a controllable gripper fixed to a rotary retracting means, the gripper grips the partial product 99 lifted at the first feed chains 2, 3 at a fold, and then is opened to convey the partial product 99 to the second feed chain 8.
