PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jet propelled planing boat offering simple construction with no increase in weight for keeping steering even when a throttle is turned off. SOLUTION: The jet propelled gliding boat to be propelled by utilizing reaction upon jetting a water pressurized and accelerated by a water jet pump P from a rear jet nozzle while maintaining steering function when the throttle is turned off comprises a throttle opening detecting sensor Ss for detecting the turn-off of the throttle and a steering position detecting sensor Sp for detecting the steered condition of a steering. When signals from the two sensors are obtained, a throttle arm of a carburetor Cb for an engine E is operated on the side of a predetermined 'opening' for a preset time.
