PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic arc tube assembly to facilitate and simplify manufacture of a ceramic arc tube, and a method for forming the ceramic arc tube. SOLUTION: A hollow body 4 having at least one open end part containing an end part cap 3 is provided, and the end part cap 3 has a capillary tube 2 and a temporary assembly button 11. The temporary assembly button 11 can be removed from the capillary tube without giving any damage to this arc tube assembly.
