PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize an interval between paper sheets delivered from a reversing passage in an image forming device wherein the paper sheet is switched back in the reversing passage to improve the productivity of the image forming operation in continuous image formation. SOLUTION: When the paper sheet is delivered into the reversing passage 19, the paper sheet is damped by a paper damping means 25, and the paper sheets stopped in the reversing passage 19 for switch-back, are stopped at a fixed position at all times without variations in the stopping positions. Whereby the paper sheets switched back and delivered from the reversing passage 19 can be stably kept at narrow intervals.
