PURPOSE: A method for assigning a data service resource is provided to compose a channel for providing a data service as a logic channel and variably assign the capacity of the data service. CONSTITUTION: A service capacity is initialized, and a maximum available service capacity is defined(S401). It is judged whether a data service request from a mobile station is a call setting request or a call release request(S403). If the data service request from the mobile station is the call setting request, it is judged whether a maximum data service resource assignment capacity of an HDSB(High speed Selector Bank) is exceeded(S405). If the maximum data service resource assignment capacity of the HDSB is not exceeded, it is judged whether the data service capacity requested from the mobile station is a certain value(S407,S411,S415,S419). A data service resource of 1 is assigned(S417,S421), or a data service resource of 2.4 is assigned(S409,S413). |
