MUFFLER FOR ROOTS BLOWER

PURPOSE: A muffler for Roots blower is provided to improve performance of an industrial blower installed in a petrochemical plant. CONSTITUTION: Buffers(30) installed in a muffler(20) whose size is Phi 380mm * 1800mm include a type A buffer with five penetrating holes formed on a concentric circumference, a type PA buffer identical with the type A buffer except for an additional pipe installed on the penetrating holes, a type B buffer with two penetrating holes, a type C buffer with eight penetrating holes, a type D buffer with thirteen penetrating holes and a type E buffer with twenty-five penetrating holes. The passages of the buffers have same sectional areas. The buffers are arranged in the muffler at irregular intervals so that the penetrating holes cross each other.
