The wing tip extension (7) is for a wing (2). Its geometry is such that a steadily increasing local V shape is formed between the wing connection region and the tip. This has the effect of increasing the effective sweep-back of the leading and trailing edges and a steady reduction in the depth of the wingtip extension.
