METHOD FOR STRAIGHTENING ROUND ROLLED STOCK

The invention relates to metal shaping, in particular to the straightening of round rolled stock, for example tubes. The inventive method for straightening the round rolled stock by alternate elastoplastic bending thereof consists in forming a straightening area by means of forcibly rotatable straightening rings which are arranged eccentrically with respect to the axis of straightening and determining the adjustment value for eccentricities taking into consideration the average curvature of the rolled stock and the distance between the centres of the rings. During straightening, the eccentricities of the rings are modified according to programmed straightening. In order to straighten the end parts of the rolled stock, the minimum number of straightening rings is used. Said rings are grouped in such a way that they are disposed as closed as possible to each other, a tilt pattern of rings needed for moving them being provided and the eccentricity of the group equal to 0.2-0.9 of the adjustment value thereof being set up. In order to straighten the central part of the rolled stock, not less than four straightening rings are used and distributed along the length of the straightening area.
