The invention relates to a device for displaying current speed. Said device is characterised by a mobile transponder, which contains a GPS receiver, a memory for GPS signals and a computational unit, and a preferably optical display. The computational unit compares the information concerning the current location that is supplied by means of the GPS receiver with information concerning a preceding location that is contained in the memory, determines the current speed from the temporal change of location and displays said speed. |
