<p>A method and apparatus for automatically correcting colors in digital image space comprises taking an image file of the object using a digital device, such as a digital camera or scanner. Profiling software checks compares the image file to a photograph of a target test sheet under specific lighting conditions, and checks the submitted object file for orientation, alignment, color intensity, and hue with respect to the target test sheet. A transformation image algorithm matches colors of the submitted image file with colors of the target test sheet and thereby creates a color corrected image profile for the submitted image file.</p> |
