A tool clamp arrangement comprises a housing (2), in which a clamping opening (3) is embodied for housing a tapering tool-shaft clamping end (4) of a tool piece (5). The clamping opening (3) tapers inwards in the direction of introduction of the clamping end (4) of a tool piece (5) and, furthermore, the tapering sides are inclined together in a plane running perpendicular to the direction of introduction, the opening having a trapezoidal cross-section and the length of said cross-section runs from the end of the clamping opening (3). The housing (2) further comprises a transverse opening (7), intersecting the clamping opening (3) and which accepts a locking pin (8). On introducing a tool into the clamping arrangement, a tapering edge (20) of the pin (8) engages with a front edge (21) of a longitudinal hole (9), embodied in the clamping edge (4) of the tool piece (5) and the engaging effect thus generated draws the clamping end (4) deeper into the clamping opening (3) as the pin (8) is driven deeper into the transverse opening (7).
