The invention concerns a method for applying a high temperature resistant coating on a substrate consisting of at least a surface of an object to be treated. Said method is essentially characterised in that it consists in pre-heating said substrate up to a predetermined temperature, in depositing a coating material consisting of ceramic powders on the pre-heated substrate, and in continuing to heat the substrate at least during the powder coating material deposition process and in performing a quenching process immediately after the heating process. The invention is useful for making various objects completely or partly treated, in particular, silencers for scooters, kitchen appliances or the like.
