The hub cap (3) has a cylindrical centering ring (3a) with axial holder tongues (4) having radially directed holder noses (4a) on the ends. The centering ring extends in axial direction (A) over the free ends of the holder tongues, and the projecting section (13) is without interruptions. The locking areas of the holder tongues are reinforced by ribs (4b) on the back. A spring ring (5) is held in the ribs, to expand the tongues. The free end of each tongue has a ribs to hold to the spring ring.
