The present invention provides a recombinant ovine adenovirus vector. The vector comprises an ovine adenovirus genome in which a heterologous nucleic acid molecule is inserted between coding regions of transcription units which are adjacent in ovine adenovirus genome. It is preferred that the heterologous nucleic acid sequence is inserted between the Right Hand End transcription unit and the E4 transcription unit or between the Left Hand End transcription unit and the IVa2 transcription unit.
