A fixator for the mutual fixing of vertebra in a spinal column with a housing piece (3), through which a housing (11) for a fixing rod (12, 13, 14) runs and a fixing piece (12) for fixing the housing piece to the spinal column has various embodiments. The invention further relates to a method for fixing a section of the spinal column, whereby pedicle screws are screwed into the vertebrae to be fixed, to the ends of which, extending from the vertebrae, housing pieces are fixed, connected to at least one fixing rod. The fixing rod can comprise at least two partial rods (12, 13, 14) or said rod can be pivotably mounted outside the housing piece in a vertical plane. |
