The invention relates to a centrifugal pump unit, wherein the centrifugal pump is connected to a motor via a magnetic coupling. The magnetic coupling consists of a first part which is connected to the motor by a shaft and a second part which is connected to the rotor of the centrifugal pump by a shaft. The second part is arranged inside a separating cup-shaped element whereby the inside thereof is fluidically connected to the inside of the centrifugal pump and the atmospheric part of the magnetic coupling surrounding the first part is encompassed by a housing arranged between the housings of the motor and the centrifugal pump. The aim of the invention is to provide a simple trouble-free device which can protect magnetic coupling pumps against explosions, requiring little monitoring. To achieve this, all joint surfaces and/or openings in or between the housing parts (3, 7, 8) encompassing the atmospheric part (11) of the magnetic coupling are formed by gaps (12, 13, 14) and/or bore holes which meet the conditions for compression-proof encapsulation. |
