<p>The recorder (10) includes a housing (12), in which housing is located a pressure switch (14), an LED display (16), and a reset button (18). An inlet (20) provides access for teh gas to the pressure switch (14) within the housing (12). The recorder (10) is connected downstream of a gas source (22), a regulator (24) and a flowmeter (26). A pipe or hose (28) having a tee-piece (30) provides the gas to teh patient (32) as well as directing gas to teh pressure switch (14). When the gas flow is activated, for example by actuating the regulator (24) or flowmeter (26), the gas pressure increases in the hose (28) and thus on the pressure switch (14) thereby activating the pressure switch (14) which in turn activates a measuring means (34) located within the housing (12) and any associated portion of the electronic circuit means whereby the measured value is displayed on the LED display (16).</p> |
