<p>The present invention relates to a method of producing macromolecular crystals comprising the steps (i) dispensing a solution of macromolecule and crystallising agent so that the solution is or becomes under a layer of oil, wherein the oil layer is such that evaporation from the solution is permitted; (ii) incubating the solution for at least 1 minute; and (iii) subsequently administering additional oil to the oil layer such that evaporation from the solution is decreased, and materials useful in said method.</p> |
