The mirror has a trim part (1) with swivel joint (8) through which the mirror (3) can be swivelled out into the useful position whilst a second swivel joint (4) is provided through which the mirror can then be swivelled into the optimum position about a swivel axis (A-A) which is at an angle to the trim part when the mirror is in the useful position. The mirror can be held telescopically on the trim part. The mirror can be mounted between two adjoining vehicle seats.
