The device has a bearer plate (10) with conductor layers with electronic units made of electronic components mounted on surface areas (12) of the plate by a preferably automated mounting method, especially arranged at regular intervals. The surface areas are mounted on defined separating areas (32) of the plate on a frame region (34) enclosing the surface areas. The bearer plate has an externally contactable central electrical contact region (28) in the frame region for connecting an operating voltage, load or signals to the electronic units via supply, load and/or signal lines.
