The invention proposes a process for marking a glass body (14), characterized in that it includes the following steps: creation of a mark (12) on the glass body (14) by depositing, directly onto the outer surface of the glass body (14), a marking product (10) made from a substantially homogenous mixture of an ink, intended for marking glass, and a silica powder; vitrification of the marking product (10) on said outer surface of the body (14) by heating at a very high temperature. The invention also proposes a marking product (10) for the implementation of the process in accordance with the invention, characterized in that it comprises a substantially homogenous mixture of ink and a silica powder.
