An additional component (2) lying outside a molding tool(5,6) has anchoring sections(3',4') with heads(3,4) extending into the molding cavity for the plastic part(1). After location of the additional component through an outlet in the molding cavity wall, two slides (7,8) are moved over the outlet to prevent escape of injected plastic. The slides also prevent injected plastic from escaping along the surfaces of the anchoring sections. An Independent claim is made for an injection molding tool for the process whose molding cavity has an outlet for locating the anchoring sections(3',4') of the additional component(2). The outlet is axially sealed by two radially moving slides which are pressed against a sealing face(11) of the tool when the latter is closed for molding. The slides, when moved towards each other form an opening through which the anchoring sections extend into the molding cavity. Radial movement of the slides presses the edges of the opening tightly around the anchoring sections to effect radial sealing around the latter.
