Brush bristles(2) extend out from a surface(4a) of a bristle carrier(1) whose underside(4b) connects with a base part. The base has a peripheral edge which surrounds the bristle carrier and between the edge and bristle carrier(1) there are cleaning fibers(5) which project above the bristle carrier surface. An Independent claim is made for a manufacturing process for the brush in which a bristle carrier(1) is injection molded and a cleaning fiber(5) is located on the rear face(4b) such that when the base and bristle carrier are connected the cleaning fiber is bent around the edge of the bristle carrier and protrudes above the upper surface. The long cleaning fiber extends along the rear face of the carrier and forms loops around the bristle carrier edge which are subsequently clamped between the carrier edge and the attached base.
