For the control of passive building heating/cooling systems, the external temperature is measured over a time interval to be determined on the basis of a weighted mean value. The switching action on the interior heating/cooling system is set according to set base temperature values and the type of building as weighting factors. The calculation of the parameters gives a total value for the switching threshold, which is above zero for the cooling phase and below zero for the heating phase.
