The present invention relates to novel peptides which are useful as alpha >II<b beta >3< integrin activators, to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these peptides, to the use of the novel peptides for the manufacture of pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of thrombotic diseases and bleeding disorders, to a method for therapeutic or prophylactic treatment of thrombotic diseases and bleeding disorders and to the use of the novel peptides in artificial tissue transplants to aid in wound healing and tissue regeneration.
