<p>There is described a sealing device (24) for pulsation heat sealing a thermoplastic packaging material for producing sealed packages (2) of pourable food products. The sealing device (24) has two ceramic heating elements (30), each defined by an elongated body (34) made of electrically insulating ceramic material and having an integral longitudinal ridge (36) of electrically conducting ceramic material; and a cooling body (28) having two elongated cavities (32), each housing a respective ceramic heating element (30). More specifically, the body (34) of electrically insulating ceramic material of each ceramic heating element (30) is clamped inside the respective cavity (32) by deforming the cooling body (28), and has a section the same shape and size as the respective cavity (32) so that its base and lateral walls closely contact the bottom and lateral walls of the cavity (32).</p> |
