The leak finder (1) has a housing (2) in which components (3 to 6) of the finder and a test leak (20) are accommodated. The test leak is arranged below the components. Cooling air passes from the bottom to the top of the housing. A fan (17) may be provided for assisting the flow of air. The test leak may comprise a narrow point consisting of a diaphragm. The test leak may be provided with a temperature sensor connected to a control unit (6). Two Independent claims are included for a test leak.
