In an apparatus unit exchange supporting method, when a first user requests to exchange a first unit constitution part of an apparatus for a second unit, a second unit is provided to the first user at the price which is discounted by the trade in of the first unit, and the first unit traded in from the first user is maintained and provided at a price lower than the purchase price for a new first unit to a second user having requested for exchange for the first unit. For example, it is possible to lower the cost for a user such as a hospital to replace a device unit such as a Ct apparatus, to facilitate management of the production line of an apparatus by the maker and the dispatch and administration of service men, and to aid in environmental improvement.
