<p> Method and apparatus for brewing a beverage from a dry beverage medium(M) contained in a disposable cartridge(46), wherein the cartridge(46) is initially pierced and vented by a tubular outlet probe(70), and then pierced by a tubular inlet probe(68). Heated liquid is admitted to the cartridge interior(A) via the inlet probe(68) for combination with the beverage medium(M) to produce a beverage, and the beverage is extracted from the cartridge(46) via the outlet probe(70).</p> |
