<p>An improved rotary air lock feeder (10). The feeder (10) includes a cylinder (12), a plurality of vanes (14) extending radially inside the cylinder. A hopper (16) communicates with the cylinder through an inlet. The invention permits flow of material without the use of a worm conveyor. A pair of offset openings (70) extend from the upper portion along each side of the inlet. The offset openings (70) communicate with the cylinder (12) to intermittently provide inter-chamber (42) communication at each offset opening.</p> |
