1,2-Diamino-4-azolyl-, -4-furyl-, -4-thienyl-, -4-phenyl- and -4-azinyl-benzene compounds (IA) with specified substituents and their physiologically compatible, water-soluble salts are new. 1,2-Diamino-4-azolyl-, -4-furyl-, -4-thienyl-, -4-phenyl- and -4-azinyl-benzene compounds (IA) of formula (I) with specified substituents and their physiologically compatible, water-soluble salts are new: R1 = a cyclic compound with maximum unsaturation of formula (IIA) or (IIB): X1-4 = N, N-R2, S, O, C-R3, C-R4, C-R5 or C-R6 with 1-3 heteroatoms and at most one O, S or N-R2 group; X5-9 = N, -C-R7, C-R8, C-R9, C-R10, C-R11 with at most 3 N atoms; R2-11 = H or specified substituents ; with specified exceptions.
