The system to bond pipe sections together, and especially reinforced concrete pipes, uses a pipe (1) with an inliner (3) which is shorter than the mantle (2). An open ring zone (16) at the end side is left free at both ends of the pipe. The mantle has an open interior ring groove (4) at the end side of the pipe. A welding ring (5) has an axial length which is at least twice the axial width of the ring zone and/or the groove, to be laid in the ring zone and/or ring groove of two pipes to be bonded together, and the welding ring is welded to the pipe sections with the inliner after the insertion of a metal ring (9).
