The invention relates to cigarette packet consisting of cardboard or a plastic material. Said packet consists of a prismatic base body (5) and a lid (6) for opening and closing the packet (1) in order to remove smoking articles, in particular cigarettes, which are covered as a block by an interior section (2) that is vapour and aroma-tight. The interior section (2) consists of a blank of a rigid material that is vapour and aroma-tight, which surrounds the block of cigarettes on all sides except for a removal opening (3). In addition, said removal opening (3) can be sealed by a re-sealable adhesive tab (4), which is likewise vapour and aroma-tight.
