The information detection system has information relating to individual fuel injectors (10,12) of the common-rail fuel injection system provided with information identification data and stored within an integrated semiconductor circuit (20), for subsequent control of the fuel injectors via an engine control device. An Independent claim for a method for detection of information for fuel injectors of a common-rail fuel injection system is also included.
