Traffic conditions determination method and arrangement on a road network

Traffic flow determination method for determining the normal traffic conditions on a section of a road network, in which the road conditions are measured, stored and processed. Processing entails a first stage (64) in which stable traffic levels are detected during which traffic conditions are stable or quasi-stable according to a probability distribution, and a second stage wherein the traffic conditions reigning in a stable level are determined. An Independent claim is included for: 1. A method for indicating normal traffic conditions on a road network section. 2. A method for indicating abnormal traffic conditions. 3. A system for determining normal traffic conditions and a system for indicating abnormal traffic conditions.
