Pairs of plates (1) and (2) with dimensions equal to those of the props are placed between the network of foundation connection beams (9) and the feet (10) of the props (14). The thickness of these plates will depend on the size of the building. The plates have a round hollow (indent) (3) in which the ball bearings move around (4). The hollows are filled with long-lasting grease (8) and the plates are affixed to the connection beams with screw-threaded nails (5, 6).During an earthquake one plate (2) moves - rolls over the other (1) with the assistance of the ball bearings (4). In this way there is no horizontal force moving the building in the direction of the motion of the ground and thus it remains motionless. Plates of inflated polystyrene (11) are placed between the connection beams (9) and (10) and the joins between the plates are covered with flexible plastic plates to avoid leakage of the long-lasting grease.
