Apparatus for coating objects with dry lubricant using carrier bodies for the lubricant and bringing said bodies into rubbing contact with the objects, comprises two co-axial rotating drums 1. 2 each having internal threads 4', 4, the threads 4 of the inner drum 2 serving to mingle and at the same time convey the objects together with the carrier bodies loaded with lubricant, the threads 4' of the outer drum 1 serving to return the carrier bodies which simultaneously are coated with lubricant, and means for transferring the carrier bodies loaded with lubricant into one end of the inner drum, and at the other end thereof for transferring the carrier bodies to be loaded with lubricant into the outer drum. Objects to be coated are fed in at the conical end 3 of drum 1 and carried therethrough by thread 4' and carrier bodies loaded with lubricant pass into the inner drum 2 from the outer drum 1 through apertures 5 to be mingled with the objects so as to transfer lubricant to them. At the other end of drum 2 the carrier bodies pass through apertures 5' into the outer drum 1 and the coated objects are discharged into container 8. The carrer bodies are replenished with lubricant from container 6 as they are returned in thread 4' in outer drum 1. |
