Acceptance of connections with lower priority, in particular of non-real-time (NRT) traffic, only by redundant transmission paths

The method involves forwarding redundant message cells of connections with different priority over redundant transmission paths, whereby only one of the received redundant message cells is selected for further processing. A labelling bit (CSP, 1CSP) is set for a connection of lower priority, whereby a number of connections marked through a labelling bit form a common class. The labelling bit is evaluated at reception of a message cell, and a selection condition mark (rCSP) determines the transmission path, by which the message cells of a predetermined class are received for the further processing.
