PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing device for Tatami mat, with which zigzag sewing and deformed ladder sewing similar to ladder sewing can easily be switched. SOLUTION: When zigzag sewing is selected by a sewing changeover switch 79, zigzag sewing can be executed under the control of a controller 81 and when deformed ladder sewing is selected, deformed ladder sewing similar to ladder sewing can be executed. Therefore, since zigzag sewing and deformed ladder sewing can be switched only by switching by means of the sewing changeover switch 79, zigzag sewing and deformed ladder sewing can easily be switched without trouble of alternation by exchanging a mechanical component such as cam. In such a case, when straight sewing is selected by the sewing changeover switch 79, straight sewing can be executed as well.
