PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a breakage at a material surface layer when a carton is opened. SOLUTION: There is provided a carton in which each of a pair of end plates 1 and side plates 2 is cooperatively arranged to form a circumferential wall; each of inner flaps 3 is extended out of each of the end plates 1 and each of outer flaps 4 is extended out of each of the side plates 2, respectively; and outer flaps 4 are adhered by glue to the inner flaps 3 to seal an opening of the carton, wherein cutting lines 7 are displaced from the glue applying segments (a) and arranged at adhering surfaces of the inner flaps 3 and the outer flaps 4. Breakage at a material surface layer as the carton is opened is prohibited by the cutting lines 7, the inner flaps 3 and the outer flaps 4 are not connected by the broken surface layer paper to cause an outer aesthetic appearance under its opened state to be improved.
