PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact air chuck provided with the simple and rational structure capable of securely chucking a small diameter work such as a very thin wire. SOLUTION: A first finger member 2 of a pair of finger members 2 and 3 respectively having pinching parts 2a and 3a at a tip thereof is fitted to a chuck body 1 for fixation. The second finger member 3 is fixed to the chuck body 1 at a base end 3c thereof to be opened and closed by deflection thereof, and the elastic opening characteristic is given to the second finger member 3. This second finger member 3 is deflected fro opening and closing by a piston 16 of an air cylinder mechanism 3.
