PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the shaft member support structure for supporting a cam shaft freely to turn and slide and capable of smoothening the sliding operation of the cam shaft. SOLUTION: The cam shaft 81 is directly supported by two bearings 82 and 83, and a right end of the cam shaft positioned in right of the bearing 83 is indirectly supported by a bearing 96 through a sleeve 95. With this structure that two bearings 82 and 83 are used to directly support the shaft member 81, both the two bearings 82 and 83 can be accurately arranged on the same shaft, and the shaft member 81 can smoothly slide.
